The drop-top M6 has the same 5.0-litre V10 as the coupe, developing 507bhp and 384lb-ft
of torque. The M6 convertible is built using a 6-Series Convertible shell, rather
than modifying the M6's stiffened shell to suit the roof mechanisms. Despite the
extra weight of the convertible roof, its mechanisms and the necessary reinforcements
to the car's structure, it'll still be good for 0-60mph in just 4.8 seconds; top
speed is limited to 155mph. BMW Car Rentals and BMW M6 Rentals claims that this car can lap the Nordschliefe circuit
of the Nurburgring almost as fast as its coupe counterpart.
