Shea Stadium is home to the New York Mets of Major League Baseball. It is located in Flushing, a borough of Queens, a short trip with a passenger rental van. Future Plans
A new project was proposed to provide an Olympic venue for the 2012 Games that New York was bidding on. When plans fell through, the City of New York put some of the money towards renovating the ballpark. It is expected to be ready for 2009.
