Mercedes SUV Rentals | Mercedes Benz ML350 Rentals
OUR New BMW M6 Convertible
Luxurious Sports Convertible Light in weight, heavy in performance
Mercedes knows the midsized luxury SUV Rental segment is bursting with competition, and if attacked properly, high profits as well. To keep its M-Class moving out of dealerships, Mercedes has refreshed the SUV, making exterior changes that bring it in line with its boxy GL and upcoming GLK siblings while interior upgrades are subtle unless you go for the two-tone leather and the two huge eight-inch screens for watching DVDs in the backseat.
Powertrain
options remain the same, although Mercedes notes that fuel economy is
marginally improved with most engine options. The easiest way to tell if
a refreshed M-Class is following you is to look for the "smiling" lower
grille which is especially apparent -- for better or for worse -- on
light-colored models. The refreshed grille is framed by fog lights
pushed to the edges of the SUV, enhancing its presence.
Larger side mirrors that follow the new C-Class design have been added and in back, smoked taillights (clear lenses are available) and reflectors integrated into the rear bumper again emphasize the M-Class' size. 19-inch wheels, standard on V-8 models, won't hurt that impression either.
The revised headlight design now subtly suggests a boomerang shape while the new simulated underguard suggests offroad capability that will not likely be used as often as those eight-inch screens mounted on the back of the front seats. The integrated DVD player comes with two sets of wireless headphones and two remote controls, thus freeing you from the burden of talking to your rear seat passengers. The Town is the easternmost town on Long Island (Suffolk County, New York State). It encompasses a land area of 70 square miles on Long Island’s south fork and has almost 70 miles of waterfront on three sides. The Town is bordered by the Town of Southampton to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south, and Gardiner’s Bay to the north.
|
The original land, purchased from the Montauket Indians, covered about 30,000 acres. The first settlement within the present jurisdiction of the Town was made by Lion Gardiner on his privately-owned Gardiners Island in 1639, but organized settlement did not take place until 1648. The original name of the Town was Maidstone and fourteen years later became known as East Hampton. Whaling, fishing, farming and cattle-raising were the basis of the settlers’ early economy (see the History page).
Present day East Hampton provides many artistic, cultural and historic points of interest including the Montauk Indian Museum, Old Hook Mill (built in 1806 and later restored), Deep Hollow Ranch (the oldest cattle ranch in America), Guild Hall (home of the John Drew Theater), among many others. The Atlantic Ocean, the bays and the harbors remain the Town’s prime attractions, providing swimming, boating and fishing for summer visitors and year-round residents alike.
East Hampton is the easternmost town on the South Shore of Long Island with a population of nearly 20,000. It is one of ?America’s most beautiful villages?. East Hampton has some of the most expensive residential real estate in the United States. A little over two hours from New York City, this is an ideal area to retreat to for vacation, while close enough to major attractions with a East Hampton exotic car rentals. Parks
A number of parks in East Hampton offer campsites for recreation. These are easy to get to with a Hamptons exotic car rental. Finally, Montauk Point State Park offers some of the best surf-fishing and the opportunity to see seals sun themselves on the rocks. Beaches
The white sands of East Hampton Beach was rated on of America’s best beaches in 2006. Main Street is picturesque, with working windmills and tall elm trees. There are thousands of acres of white pines in Northwest Woods. Or, there are galleries, antique shops, and boutiques in East Hampton. All are easy to get to with a Hamptons exotic car rental.
Founded in 1648, the Village of East Hampton was one of America’s earliest English settlements. Today, the Village of East Hampton still provides a rich record of the architecture and agricultural way of life in early America. The Village’s wide Main Street, the Village Green, Town Pond, South End Burial Ground, and the area around Hook Mill are all remnants of the Village’s original seventeenth century design. Remaining historic houses and farmhouses, barns, outbuildings, fences, pastures, windmills, and schools accent what has been called “America’s most beautiful village.”
The Village of East Hampton is an approximately sixteen square mile parcel of land adorned with ponds, wetlands, large, open public greens, farmland, and woodland. The entire southern border of the Village is one of the world’s most beautiful ocean beaches. The wide, white, sandy beach and dunes provide an expansive vista of the Atlantic ocean. The estates and homes along the roads from Main Street to the ocean are among the most impressive and valuable in the country.
The greatest resource in the Village of East Hampton, however, has always been its residents. From the early English settlers to the late nineteenth century landscape painters and founders of East Hampton as a summer resort to the arrival of the rich and famous throughout the 20th century, all have contributed to the reputation of East Hampton as one of America’s most famous summer playgrounds.
Other Attractions
East Hampton is 14.5 square miles, so a Hamptons exotic car rental is the best way to get around. Other attractions include the Montauk Indian Museum, Old Hook Mill, Deep Hollow Ranch (the oldest cattle ranch in America), Guild Hall (home of the John Drew Theater), and many others. The Atlantic Ocean, the bays and the harbors remain the Town’s main attractions. They provided swimming, boating and fishing for visitors.
Special Events
Each year the Fire Department organizes fireworks on the Main Beach for Independence Day. Also, every summer there is an Artists and Writers Softball Game held to benefit charity. Players have included John Irving, Norman Mailer, Kurt Vonnegut, Dustin Hoffman, Paul Simon, and even President Bill Clinton. Other special events in the area can be found at www.hamptons.com. A Hamptons exotic car rental is the easiest way to attend these special events.
Where to Stay and Eat
East Hampton offers Bed & Breakfasts, hotels, motels, and inns for everyone. There is also a range of restaurants for every budget, including American, seafood, southwestern, and Italian cuisine. Notable restaurants include the East Hampton Point, a restaurant with ?New American Contemporary Cuisine? with a focus on local produce, poultry, and seafood. It is the only restaurant on Long Island to be rated 4/4 by the Zagat Guide. www.hamptons.com/foodandwine.ihtml has a list of restaurants in the area. A Hamptons exotic car rental is a great way to explore the local restaurants.
The Town of East Hampton was established in 1788 by the State as a separate political entity vested with independent taxing and debt authority. There is one incorporated village wholly situated within the Town’s borders, the Village of East Hampton, and a portion of a second village, Sag Harbor. The Town has four independently governed school districts wholly located within its borders and portions of two others, all of which rely on their taxing powers granted by the State to raise revenues for school district purposes. The school districts use the Town’s assessment roll as the basis for taxation of property within the Town. The Town has four fire districts wholly or partially located within its borders, all of which rely on their taxing powers granted by the State to raise revenues for fire district purposes.
The legislative power of the Town is vested in the Town Board (see the Town Board page).
The Town Clerk serves as custodian of the Town’s legal documents and papers, maintains the minutes of proceedings of the Town Board and is responsible for the publication and filing of all official notices. The Clerk is elected to serve a four-year term. The number of terms the Clerk may serve is unlimited. The Town Receiver of Taxes is responsible for receiving and collecting all State, County, Town and School taxes and all assessments that may be levied in the Town. Other officers of the Town include: the Highway Superintendent, which is a two-year elected position; the Town Assessors, who are elected to four-year terms; and the Town Attorney, Town Budget Officer and Town Receiver of Taxes, all of whom are appointed by the Town Board.
The Town is responsible for providing most governmental services to its residents. Water service is provided by the Suffolk County Water Authority and sewerage is provided by the individual private property owner although the Town does accept sewage for processing at its own treatment facility.
Highway construction and maintenance is a Town function. In addition, recreation is provided via parks and beaches, which are maintained through Town government. Other services performed at the Town level include: property assessment, building inspection, zoning administration and the local justice court system. The Town furnishes police protection, while the State police provide intermittent patrols of highways and the County police supply special police services. Fire protection is contracted for through the Town’s several fire protection districts. Education is the responsibility of the six independent school districts located in the Town. The County provides various social and health services. Certain services are provided through Town Operated Special Districts. Town Operated Special Districts are managed and operated by the Town Board.
The Supervisor is the chief fiscal officer of the Town; however, the Budget Officer, as the chief fiscal advisor to the Town Board, is responsible for the Town’s accounting and financial reporting activities. The Town Board serves as the Town’s finance board.
The Supervisor, with the assistance of the Budget Officer, prepares a preliminary budget for submission to the Town Board. The tentative budget must be filed in the office of the Town Clerk on or before September 30th of each year. The tentative budget is submitted to the Town Board not later than October 5th. Following review and modification, a preliminary budget hearing is held by November 15th. At this hearing, members of the public may express opinions, which the Town Board may take under advisement. Approval of the budget is not subject to a vote of the electorate and the Town Board may make changes following the hearing process. The Town Board is required to adopt the final annual budget by November 20th. From time to time, the Town Board may make changes or modifications in the amount of annual appropriations subject to legal provisions.
The Town prepares an annual financial report, which must be filed with the State Comptroller. Financial statements are annually audited by an independent public accountant and the Town is audited periodically by the State Comptroller.

Door linings are now trimmed in man-made leather and the redesigned four-spoke steering wheel has shift paddles and multifunction controls that are supposedly easier to use. The dashboard, trimmed in nappa or man-made leather, complement one of three different wood trims. On the safety front, Mercedes has made Pre-safe and Neck-Pro head restraints standard on all models.
The 510 horsepower ML63 AMG gets the most controversial exterior upgrade, with a rectangular air inlet as well as revised headlights and grille. New five-spoke 20-inch AMG wheels are wrapped in 295/40 R20 rubber. Inside, a new AMG steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles to control the seven-speed automatic, which has three drive modes. The handful of ML63 AMG drivers who take their rides to the racetrack will appreciate the Racetimer, which records lap times.Powered by the familiar 6.2-liter V-8, the ML63 AMG roars from 0-62 mph in five seconds on to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
Mercedes' M-Class upgrades should be enough to carry it until the third-generation model arrives in a few years, but until then, we hope the price won't head much higher than the current 2008 ML350 base price of $44,825, which includes an $825 delivery charge but not a six-disc CD changer or heated front seats. Regardless, the M-Class is now a slightly sharper SUV than it was before
Mercedes Benz & Mercedes Benz ML350 M Class Rentals in NEW YORK - NEW JERSEY - FLORIDA
The ML-Class SUV Rental is the original luxury sport utility in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Comfortably sized, it seats five with room for plenty of luggage, drives like a sedan, and is a capable off-roader.
Mercedes Benz ML-class Luxury SUV Rentals is available in four models. The ML320 CDI is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 generating 215 horsepower. The ML350 is powered by Mercedes' latest-generation 3.5-liter gasoline V6, generating 268 horsepower. The ML550 uses an upgraded 5.5-liter, 382-hp V8 and the top of the line ML63 AMG uses a 6.3-liter, 503-hp V8.For 2008, the extensively equipped M-Class includes standard features such as stability control and active front head restraints, as well as front, side, and side curtain airbags.
The Mercedes Benz M Class Luxury Car Rentals When Mercedes-Benz lifts the covers from the 2011 ML-Class at the New York auto show next week, it's going to look a little different -- and sound a lot different, thanks to the new diesel engine under the hood.Benz' push in New York will showcase its trio of diesel-power sport-utility vehicles, including the crossover R320 BlueTEC, the larger GL320 BlueTEC, and the mid-size SUV that started it all for the brand in America, the ML320 BlueTec. Each features the new AdBlue system developed by Mercedes that uses a special exhaust aftertreatment spray to treat diesel emissions, reducing nitrogen oxides.
The ML-Class, along with the new diesel engine, gets a visual revamp with a new front bumper and headlights, a new lower ribbed grille, fog lamps and more chrome trim. Benz says the look will give it a stronger face for the 2011 model year -- a new fashion for the New York crowds, we suppose.
In back the M-Class, as it's popularly known, gets a refreshed rear end as well, with dual exhausts, a reshaped bumper and skid plates. And inside the Benz SUV there are reupholstered doors, lumbar for the driver seat, a new steering wheel, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. An optional harmon kardon Logic7 audio system and rear-seat entertainment system have been added, along with voice recognition.
New standard safety equipment adds on Mercedes' PRE-SAFE system to the M-Class' portfolio. PRE-SAFE uses sensors to detect when a vehicle is in danger of an imminent crash -- from throttle and brake and steering inputs -- and prepares the car for impact. Seatbelts are tightened, the front passenger seat moves into a better position and the side windows close (and if the system predicts a rollover, the sunroof closes as well).
Mercedes-Benz promises fuel economy will be 20 to 30 percent better in the diesel versions of its sport-utes. The EPA shows the ML320 CDI rated at 18/24 mpg, with the gas-engined ML350 at 15/20 mpg. Mercedes-Benz also promises a cruising range of up to 600 miles.
The diesel-powered Benzes go on sale later this year in all 50 states.

Until a 2008 M-Class was assigned
to me for this review, I had kind of forgotten that Mercedes redesigned this
luxury SUV two years ago. Sure, I knew about the update when it was first
announced, but I hadn't noticed the SUV in commercials, on the road or in weekly
newspaper ads. After a long, 10-day loan, however, I started seeing new ML350s
and 550s all over the Chicago area.
That bit of psychological auto trickery may already be familiar to other drivers
out there, but believe me when I tell you these full-time
M-Class drivers might be on
to something: The new M-Class is one alluring SUV.
Styling
Like the
ML350, the silver
ML550 I tested had a big,
bold grille with a large three-pointed star in it. This predominant feature lets
everyone on the road know some money was spent on this SUV. I'm not sure if that
was the intended effect, but if you want status, the M-Class has it displayed
right out front.
The emblem doesn't detract from the overall styling, though; everything about
this SUV is big and bold. Unlike the middle-of-the-road previous generation, the
current M-Class can stand out
on the road. Small details like carved taillights and numerous creases along the
body show that Mercedes spent some time on the design. Silver is, of course, the
most boring of car colors, but matched with the large exhaust outlets, the
metal-topped sideboards and that grille, it looked great. During the 10 days I
had this car, I passed a number of models in black, white and dark red that were
all equally striking.
