Prospect Park offers visitors the opportunity to explore the park through various tours offers throughout the park. Whether you would like to explore the park by land, water, wheel, or foot, you'll find a tour that will appeal to your interest. Below are just some of the tours you can check out:
Trolley Tours - Hop on the free Heart of Brooklyn Trolley and check out the historic Grand Army Plaza. This hour-long trolley ride operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from noon to 6 p.m., throughout the year. It leaves on the hour and makes stops throughout the Park, as well as near Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park Zoo and Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
Guided Tours - Through a guided tour you will learn how to identify birds, discover the source of the Lullwater and experience the feeling of hiking through the Adirondack Mountains right in the middle of Brooklyn! You'll also encounter some of the 200 species of birds that inhabit the Park!
Electric Boat Tour - This 30 minute electric boat ride takes you through the winding Lullwater, passing under the Lullwater and Terrace Bridges and emerging out into the glorious 60-acre Prospect Lake. This is a great way to experience the Park's natural beauty while getting an up-close view of the Park's wildlife.
Finding your way to Prospect Park
Due to its location, there are many ways to get to Prospect Park. If your exotic car rental travels have you coming from the north (the Bronx or Westchester areas), then take 87 South to the Triborough Bridge to Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (278) west to Brooklyn. Then take Tillary St. exit and turn left on Flatbush Avenue. Stay on Flatbush to Grand Army Plaza, stay right for Prospect Park West.
If your traveling from Manhattan in your exotic car rental, then take Manhattan Bridge to Flatbush Ave., or take the Brooklyn Bridge, make left on Tillary St. and right on Flatbush Ave. Stay on Flatbush to Grand Army Plaza, follow signs for Prospect Park West. For Wollman Rink, proceed through circle to continue south on Flatbush Ave. Make right on Ocean Ave. and enter the Park at the Parkside/Ocean Ave. entrance
