The park is open all year long, seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. Swimming starts in late June and ends in early September. No pets are allowed.
In the winter, there is a special holiday tree lighting on December 1st. It includes a visit by Santa and there is holiday music by local schools.

Located 118 miles from Manhattan with your Van Rental on the north shore of Long Island. Take the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) east to the end of the island with your Van Rental, then take Route 25 east to Orient Beach State Park.

It was destroyed in 1963 by arson, but it was reconstructed in 1990. It is located on the rocks just to the west of Long Beach Point, and it can be seen from Orient Beach Park.
