NYC Car Rentals and Hampton Jitney
Even if you have a New York City car rental, the Hampton Jitney is another way to travel to some of Long Island's most popular destinations.
All you need to do is arrive at your pick-up location 5 minutes before departure and remember to pack your bags. Reservations are easy and can be made online or by phone. You can also buy a ticket on board with cash or credit card (or check if you are an Express Club member and have your membership card with you).
All luggage must be checked before you leave, except for carry-ons. Every passenger is allowed two pieces of luggage plus a carry-on. If you have a pet, there is a $10 charge on the Montauk and Westhampton Lines and must be kept in an approved carrier throughout the trip. If the carrier cannot fit under the seat or on your lap, you will be charged for the extra seat.

Hampton Jitney
The Hampton Jitney will take you to Long Island's South Fork quickly and without stress while you leave you New York City car rental in New York. The Montauk Line will take you to Amagansett, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Flushing/Fresh Meadows Queens, Islip, Manorville, Montauk, Napeague, Sag Harbor, Southampton, Wainscott, Water Mill, and Manhattan. The Westhampton Line will take you to East Quogue, Flushing/Fresh Meadows, Hampton Bays, Islip, Manorville, Quogue, Westhampton, and Manhattan.
North Fork Jitney
Service is also available to the North Fork of Long Island if you don't want to drive your New York City car rental. They make stops in Aquebogue, Cutchogue, East Marion, Greenport, Jamesport, Laurel, Mattituck, Orient Point, Orient Village, Peconic, Queens (at LaGuardia and JFK airports), Riverhead, Southold, Tanger, and Manhattan. Fares for the North Fork are $18 for one way or $35 for a round trip.
Foxwoods
There is another jitney that will take you to Foxwoods Resort and Casino. They offer both day trips and overnight trips to the resort without the hassle of driving your New York City car rental. Tickets must be purchased onboard the boat, but reservations should be made with Hampton Jitney. Cash and credit cards only are accepted onboard. From Long Island the jitney leaves from Southampton, Hampton Bays, Mastic/Shirley, Farmingville, and Port Jefferson. It will take you right to Bridgeport, CT or the Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, CT.
