Experience the Easier Side of Traveling
The MacArthur Airport is quite possibly New York City's most convenient airport facility. Located just minutes away from the busy streets of midtown Manhattan and the Financial District, the MacArthur Airport provides travelers with tons of outstanding amenities. Since opening the new Peter J. McGowan Concourse in 2004, the MacArthur Airport has increased its business exponentially, processing nearly 2 million travelers every year. Amenities inside this new concourse include a small food court, a pub, four brand new gates and a convenient CNBC store. Although the new concourse was named in honor of the Islip town supervisor just a few years ago, there is already a motion in to change the name. McGowan was forced to resign his position in March of 2006 after being indicted on a variety of felony counts. A committee has been formed in favor of changing the name to Veterans Concourse.
Finding Your Way Around in the Air and on the Ground!

Arrival gates are positioned just to the left of the front entrance. Southwest Airlines is also in the process of adding four additional gates bringing their total to eight gates by the summer of 2006.
