Located in Uniondale, Nassau Coliseum is best-known for the New York Islanders, a National Hockey League team. However, there are other events that take place here. It occupies 63 acres at the site of a former Army and Air Force base. The location is great, just outside of New York City and a quick drive with a passenger rental van.
Location
Uniondale is about 10 miles east of Manhattan, but many recommend a passenger van rental to get here because the trains to the area require an additional bus or cab ride from the train station to the facility.
Sports
The Coliseum is currently home to the New York Islanders as well as the New York Dragons, a football team. The site used to house the National Lacrosse League until the team became inactive in 2004. Renovations
