Captree State Park is located in Babylon at the eastern tip of Jones Beach Island. It is easy to get to with your cheap car rental. Finally in mid-August there is an "I Fish NY Salt Water Clinic" that will teach people age 10 and up fishing techniques and tackle, ethics, regulations, biology, seafood safety and filet techniques.
