The Museum of Modern Art is an art museum in Midtown Manhattan that is easy to get to with your New York City car rental. It is considered to be one of the best museums of modern art in the world, and a rival to the nearby Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Museum of Modern Art was founded in 1929 at a time where there were no other museums that was devoted exclusively to modern art. The original donation of eight prints and one drawing grew quickly and they soon moved to the current location 11 West 53rd Street. The Museum of Modern Art is located at 11 West Fifty-third Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
